Welcome to JELARE

The Joint European-Latin American Universities Renewable Energies Project is a co-operation scheme involving universities from Germany, Latvia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile and Guatemala with the aim of fostering innovative labour market-oriented educational and research approaches in the field of renewable energies at Latin American and European institutes of higher education.

The project is funded by ALFA III, an EU programme for co-operation between the European Union and Latin America, in the framework of higher education and training.
International Conference and Fair on Education, Research & Employment in the Renewable Energy Sector – ICERE2 2010

ICERE2 2010 is a scientific conference focussing on sharing experiences and ideas related to education and research in renewable energy at institutions of higher education, as well as employment in the renewable energy sector. The conference’s target group are researchers in universities, research institutions and research intensive industry especially from Latin America and European countries.

The JELARE Seminar about the Brazil-Germany year of science, technology and innovation, took place in Florianopolis, on July 5th, 2010. The Seminar was an initiative of Project JELARE aiming to encourage the transfer of knowledge and technology, on the area of renewable energy, between Brazil and Germany and to encourage partnerships between academies and organizations in these countries.
