ALFA III Seminar, Brussels, Belgium

JELARE participate in the ALFA III seminar organized by the European Commission
An delegation of the JELARE project team participated in the Seminar of Coordination ALFA III, sponsored by the European Commission, between 6 and 8 June in Brussels (Belgium), with the theme: "Building the future on education." During these three days were presented: best practices in managing cooperation projects between universities of Latin American and Europe. This Seminar was attended by more than 100 leaders of the ALFA projects, representatives from most of the best European Universities and Latin American.
In opening remarks, Mr Basile Papadopoulos, Head of Operations of the European Commission for Latin America referred to the ALFA III, as a program to strengthen the networks between the universities of Europe and Latin America, highlighting its importance in promoting social cohesion, reducing poverty, reducing social exclusion, increase understanding of bilateral EU-Latin America and the technological development in Latin America. Were also presented programs of cooperation between the EU and Latin America, focusing on regional programs for Latin America.
On occasion, Professors Walter Leal, Javier Alliaga, Jose Baltazar Salgueirinho Osório Andrade Guerra and Cyrano Cabarrus representing the Consortium of European and Latin American Universities in Renewable Energy (JELARE) offered Mr Basile Papadopoulos and Miss Berta Vizcarra-Mir (Project Management EuropeAid), the book "Renewable Energy market needs," published by UNISUL, organized by Professors UNISUL: Youssef Ahmad Youssef and Baltazar de Andrade War, with contributions from project partners JELARE Universities: University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW), Catholic University of Bolivia San Pablo, Universidad de Chile, University of Rezekne (Latvia), Universidad Galileo (Guatemala).
