Capacity Building for rural community members in Bolivia, 24th to 25th January 2011
From 24th to 25th January 2011, a capacity building was held at the Renewable Energy Technology Demonstrative Centre of the Bolivian Catholic University with community members of the surrounding communities of the municipality of Batallas in the Andean Highlands in order to provide them with basic information about renewable energy systems for electricity and heat generation and their productive uses in rural areas. The first day of the capacity building was dedicated to a theoretical introduction to renewable energy and the different systems of the Demonstrative Centre. The second day was used to visit the Demonstrative Centre, observe the systems in function and learn about their operation and maintenance.
